Septic tank and collector tank emptying — how we work

We empty septic tanks, holding tanks, collector tanks, pumping chambers and separators at private homes, guesthouses, restaurants, warehouses, farms, construction sites and public institutions across Bacau county. We extract the entire content, not part of it, and the waste is transported to authorised treatment plants.

The vacuum truck draws through a large-diameter hose, so emptying an 8-10 cubic metre tank usually takes under an hour. If hardened sludge sits at the bottom, we use the 160 bar jet to break it up so it can be extracted, leaving the tank genuinely empty rather than just drained of liquid.

We also work where access is difficult: narrow yards, dirt roads, tanks behind the house. Extension hoses let us extract from a distance without driving the truck into the yard.

How often should a septic tank be emptied

Frequency depends on the number of occupants, tank volume and system type. A family of four with a sealed 6 cubic metre tank usually needs emptying every 4-6 weeks. A septic tank with a working drain field can last several months, provided the drain is not clogged. At guesthouses and restaurants, where wastewater volumes are far higher, emptying can be weekly.

A clear sign that the interval must be shortened is rapid refilling right after emptying. This usually indicates groundwater infiltration through the tank walls or a clogged outlet pipe holding water in the system. In such cases we recommend jetting the pipe as well, not just emptying the tank.
